Green light for key Black Country junction improvement
A major £12.3m upgrade to cut congestion and improve safety at a crucial Black Country road junction was given the go-ahead today by Transport Minister Paul Clark.
The Department for Transport will invest up to £11.8m to improve the A4123/A461 Burnt Tree Island junction, to the east of Dudley town centre. The upgrade will transform the current five-arm roundabout into a new crossroads with full pedestrian and cycle facilities, reducing congestion and making it safer for all road users travelling through the junction.
