Introduction
This chapter reviews the transport issues which affect people as they travel within, into and through our Area. It deals with a number of areas including:
- major transport studies
- the needs of longer-distance travellers
- cross-boundary transport planning
- travel and transport movements
- involvement of local partners, stakeholders and the public
Our LTP2 analyses opportunities to tackle transport problems in line with the Transport Shared Priority. In identifying current and emerging problems, we have drawn on analysis from WMAMMS, CANS, our emerging SEA and other studies. These have been reviewed for their continued relevance and modelled on an ongoing basis through PRISM.
