8.8 Cross-boundary effects
Due to the longdistance nature of some air pollution, the major cross boundary effect islikely to relate to the air quality topic. The changes in air quality thatresult from the implementation of the LTP measures (positive or negative) willnot be confined to the WMMA, but will also be felt by neighbouring areas.
Emissions of CO2 from WMMA will also have cross-boundaryeffects, but this time on a global scale.
