8.6 Secondary and synergistic effects
Many of the effects (see Appendix F) can be classified as secondaryeffects. Examples include the indirect effects that changes in air quality canhave on soil, and water quality, and the reduction in CO2 emissions that may arise from a roadsafety scheme aimed at reducing accident levels by reducing traffic speed.
