Red Routes in Coventry
Coventry’s first Red Route on the A4600 is showing positive results.
A4600 Sky Blue Way / Walsgrave Road / Ansty Road / Hinckley Road
Coventry’s first Red Route extends from the ring road at Junction 3, along the A4600 to Junction 2 of the M6. The Red Route complemented the Bus Showcase scheme implemeted under the PrimeLines brand to improve bus journeys. The Red Route was implemented to improve safety, reliability and effieciency of this key transport corridor.
The scheme has been operating for over two years and is perforiming as expected. The initial monitoring has shown that more vehicles are driving at or below the speed limit, bus journey time reliability has improved and more traffic is using the road.
