Mode by Mode Perspective
The problems and opportunities across the range of transport modes are detailed in the Appendices supporting this LTP2. Within the various Appendices, modes such as walking, cycling, buses, coaches, cars, taxis, trains, goods vehicles, motorcycles, wheelchair use and horse riding, are considered in terms of their contribution to LTP2 Objectives and the four themes of the Transport Shared Priority.
The separate Bus Strategy reflects the dominance of bus travel for public transport users and the significant contribution that local bus services make to delivering LTP2 objectives. All recent consultation exercises, including those undertaken for this LTP2, have identified a desire for better public transport.
